THE MENTAL HEALTH HARMONIUM

A living instrument powered by emotion, that pushes us all to see mental health in a new way.

By scraping and analyzing tweets for sentiment, we can create an auditory experience based on the current emotional sound of the Internet. Each tweet we pull in will be assigned a unique note that’s part of a harmonic scale. Higher notes represent the lighter side of human emotion while the lower ones represent the darker side. The resulting sound becomes a reminder to us, that sometimes, by just listening, we can create a more harmonious environment.
